Using the itumz mobile site is easy. Once you have an itumz account, simply point your smartphone's web browser to the following address:

What can I do with the itumz mobile site?

The mobile version of itumz is intended as an extension of the itumz.com website. It allows you to quickly and easily access your itumz lists on your smartphone while you're away from the computer. With the itumz mobile site, you can create new lists, and modify or delete existing lists right from your mobile phone.

Is the itumz mobile site free to use?

Yes, the itumz mobile site is completely free to use. Keep in mind that normal data transfer charges may apply depending on your mobile phone's service provider.

What phones does the mobile site work on?

We have developed the itumz mobile site with an attempt to enable compatibility between a wide range of mobile devices. Because mobile phones and their web browsers come in all shapes and sizes, we can't guarantee that the mobile site will work on all devices and all software the same way, but it should still be operable on most.

We have tested our mobile site to work on the following devices:

  • BlackBerry Curve, BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Storm
  • Apple iPhone, Apple iPod Touch

Keep in mind that while we have only tested on the devices listed above, it does not mean that the mobile site will not work on your phone if it's not listed. The only way to find out is to try it out. Of course, we appreciate any feedback on whether it works or not on your device so we can improve this service.

We do, however, recommend using a device with a screen of at least 320 pixels wide when using the itumz mobile site.

Will you be making specific apps for my mobile device?

It has always been our goal to enable users to access their lists from as many places as possible. With this initial release of our mobile site, the intent is to support a wide range of devices.

Now that our mobile site is available, our goal can shift to better-supporting individual devices, like the iPhone and BlackBerry. In the future, we plan to release specialized apps or versions of the mobile site that take advantage of the features on these phones. We're actively researching the viability of creating such apps, and we'll update you on our blog as soon as news becomes available.

My device doesn't display the mobile site quite right. What can I do?

We try to ensure our mobile site is properly functional on as many devices as possible. If, for some reason, it does not display the way you expect it to, here are a few things you can try.

If you're attempting to use the itumz mobile site on a BlackBerry device, you should make sure to enable a few things within your BlackBerry web browser:

  1. Press the BlackBerry button (seven black dots)
  2. Select "Options" from the menu.
  3. Select "Browser Configuration"
  4. Highlight the check boxes next to:
    • Support HTML tables
    • Use Background and Foreground colors
    • Use Background Images
    • Support CSS/Style Sheets
    For newer BlackBerry also set:
    • Style Sheets media type = screen
    • Show images = WML & HTML Pages
    • Emulation Mode = BlackBerry
    • Content Mode = WML & HTML
  5. Press the BlackBerry button (seven black dots)
  6. Select "Save Options"
  7. Select the back button and reload our website

If you're using another device, make sure that your mobile browser has CSS/style sheets, images and tables enabled.
